A spacious family home boasting 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and two reception rooms.
The classic style and generous proportions promote harmonious living for a young and energetic family. The constructed area of more than 730m2 on a 2100m2 plot creates ample interior spaces, with covered terraces and pérgolas, providing shaded and semi shaded areas that extend along the length of the ground floor of the villa.
The Architect for the project strongly encouraged the use of old reclaimed roof tiles as an alternative to a new roof tile and this, in conjunction with the tile detail along the eves, “terracota coloured” gres de breda terrace tiles, stone pillars and marble interior floors, establish a feeling of permanence even immediately after completed.
Given the topography of the land, a considerable excavation was required to form a basement area and a level ground floor that extends from the interior to the exterior terraces and pool. Natural dry stone walls built by local artisans retain the resulting rock and soil terraces.
The house displays the Architects signature use of unsymmetrical rooms throughout.
